FAQ
Questions
Still unsure about something? A free discovery call is the easiest place to ask.
How does telehealth work?
We meet over a secure video call — from your couch, kitchen or wherever you’re comfortable. You’ll get a link in your booking confirmation; just click it at your appointment time. Baby on your lap is completely fine.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book and see me as a self-funded client without a referral. A referral is only needed if you’d like to claim a Medicare rebate through a GP care plan.
What does Medicare cover?
With a GP Chronic Disease Management (CDM/EPC) plan, you can claim a rebate of up to $63.40 for up to 5 allied health sessions per calendar year.
What happens in a first session?
Mostly, we talk. I’ll ask about your health, your stage, your symptoms and your real daily life — then we build a simple, realistic plan together, at a pace that feels manageable for you.
Can I claim on private health insurance?
Often, yes. Many extras policies include dietetics. I’ll provide a receipt with all the details you need to claim with your fund (you can’t claim both Medicare and private health for the same session).
What if I’m outside a major city?
That’s exactly who telehealth is for. As long as you have a phone or laptop and internet, we can work together anywhere in Australia — regional, rural or remote.
